Managing Your Customer List

Customer Overview

The Customers page stores contact information for everyone you send review requests to. A well-maintained customer list is the foundation of effective review collection.

Adding Customers Manually

  1. Go to Customers in the sidebar.
  2. Click Add Customer.
  3. Enter the customer's name, email, and/or phone number.
  4. Optionally add tags (e.g., "VIP", "New", "2026-Q1") for easy filtering.
  5. Click Save.

Importing from CSV

To import customers in bulk:

  1. Click Import CSV on the Customers page.
  2. Upload a CSV file with columns for name, email, and phone.
  3. Map the CSV columns to RatingsRise fields.
  4. Review the preview and click Import.

Duplicate entries (matching email or phone) are automatically skipped.

Tags and Filtering

Tags help you segment customers for targeted campaigns. You can:

  • Add tags when creating or editing a customer
  • Bulk-tag selected customers from the list view
  • Filter the customer list by one or more tags
  • Use tag-based audiences when creating campaigns

Customer Detail Page

Click any customer's name to view their detail page, which shows:

  • Contact information
  • Tags
  • Review request history (when requests were sent, opened, clicked)
  • Reviews left by this customer (if matched)
  • Opt-out status

Opt-Outs

Customers who reply "STOP" to an SMS or click "Unsubscribe" in an email are automatically marked as opted out. RatingsRise will never send further requests to opted-out customers. You can also manually toggle the opt-out status on a customer's detail page.

Tip: On mobile, the customer list switches to a card layout for easier reading. Tap any card to view the customer detail page.
